Describe your current work:

Street Life Ministries (SLM) is an organization of Christian Missionaries that brings the Gospel to the streets of New York City and urban centers in other nations.  SLM is directed by David and Robin VanFleet. Before starting SLM, the VanFleets worked with YWAM in NYC.  The SLM ministry has a step-van that is used to bring friendship, evangelism, cold drinks, bread, soup and the love of Jesus directly to the people on the streets.  SLM shares the love, grace and forgiveness of God.  Dave and others on the van sing, distribute Bibles and tracts, and give referrals to people needing help with social services.  Throughout the year, SLM hosts teams of people who come to New York to learn how to do Christian outreach in an urban environment.  Adults and teens from FBC have participated in the New Year’s Eve outreach in Times Square and evangelism outreaches in Ukraine and Brazil.

We mobilize, train, and equip those for works of service. Host teams, local and global, oversee Queens House of Prayer, Flushing, Mercy and Compassion Ministries. Serve many pastors and leaders in council and consulting in local churches. Serve with Rescue Alliance NYC and the FMCI network.

Prayer Requests:

We need God to increase streams of revenue.
Release of Teams and KLFU and Funding. We must have a new and much larger facility to advance the Kingdom! For Family, we desire all our kids to love and serve Jesus ages 18 – 26 with all their hearts!
