RIPE FOR HARVEST

Dr. Dan & Nancy Jessen
E-Mail: nananddrdan@aol.com
Support Start Date: 1995
Describe your current work:
Dan is serving with his wife, Nancy, in the ministry of “encouragement and education” internationally. They have traveled throughout twenty-two countries on five continents, providing a caring and listening atmosphere for those experiencing the tensions and insecurities of life on the front line of missions.
We have been doing mission trips to such places as South Africa, the Philippines, and Guatemala to encourage missionaries by listening and teaching. Also, we have been teaching national leaders to be more effective leaders in their own cultures, both Biblically and educationally.
Nancy specializes in helping missionary teachers and parents who have children with learning difficulties (L.D., A.D.H.D., etc). She also serves as the International Coordinator for NILD (National Institute of Learning Disabilities) advising emerging overseas affiliates of NILD.
Dan was a professor at Gordon Conwell Seminary before answering the call to the mission field. Several of our pastors had classes under him.
Prayer Requests:
- Pray that we will be able to sell our former house in Pineville, NC. It has been on the market over a year (since 2/08)! So we are carrying two mortgages.
- Pray for continuing health. We are not as young as we used to be. International travel has more than its share of stress and physical challenge!
- Our oldest granddaughter is getting married soon (6/09). We are entering a new era of family life!
